There will also be lots of opportunities to play and get to know each other, especially if it’s your first time.
We will play, explore, inquire, and help out!

Connecting Community
THIS IS A PAY WHAT YOU CAN EVENT!
*Important update: Our dates have changed and we are no longer hosting workshops on Sunday due to our majority of interest is for Friday and Saturday, and we want our volunteering hosts to rest and relax on Sunday! Thank you for your understanding and support!
The primary objective of "Connecting Community" is to create a space where outdoor program enthusiasts, educators, teachers, and everyone who is interested, can engage in shared learning, collaboration, and community-building.
As dedicated professionals in the field, we recognize the invaluable insights and strengths each participant brings to the table.
This event is crafted with the aim of fostering meaningful connections within the Ottawa Valley, where an increasing number of programs dedicated to facilitating outdoor experiences for children and emphasizing the importance of play are flourishing.
The Power of Connection:
As someone who started with a solo venture, I understand the value of connection and collaboration. This event was inspired by the desire to bring together individuals who share similar passions and may not always have the opportunity to connect with fellow educators.
Building a community has personally allowed me to become a better educator and employer, and I believe that sharing perspectives and experiences is vital to the development of a thriving community.
I hope you join me for the weekend or a day
