Out and Abouts’ Leadership Program

This program is designed to prepare youth with an opportunity to enhance their outdoor, personal, and leadership skills.
Participants will create relationships that will be everlasting and experience that will translate into their every day lives.

Are you ready to step into your potential as a leader and adventurer? Our Leadership Adventure Program is the perfect opportunity for teens and tweens aged 9-16 to develop essential leadership skills while connecting with the great outdoors. This program is designed to inspire confidence, teamwork, and independence in a fun, supportive environment.

What You’ll Gain

After this program is complete, candidates qualify to become Junior Leaders, with the volunteer hours going towards their high-school credit.

Program Highlights:

Curiosity-led Exploration:

    • Discover the outdoors through natural, curiosity-led exploration with learning seamlessly woven in.

Mentoring and Small Group Adventures:

  • Experience mentoring from experienced instructors, fostering problem-solving skills and self-sufficiency.

  • Enjoy a high adult-to-child ratio (1:7) and primarily small group adventures.

Emphasis on Emotional Awareness:

  • Focus on emotional awareness, compassion, and gratitude to enhance personal and interpersonal growth.

Refund policy

Out and About summer program weeks are nonrefundable. An exception is made when we are able to fill the canceled space, and registrants will only receive a refund for the program, not the admin. Upon filling the space we'll send the partial refund. Filling spaces takes time and we're busy in the program so we appreciate as much time as possible.

This program is opted to be canceled if spots are not filled.
